Required Documents for Benin eVisa Application

To apply for the Benin eVisa, the applicant must submit the following documents. 

Scanned Copy of the Passport Bio-Page 

Upload a clear colour copy of your passport bio-data page.

Please ensure that: 

• The entire page is visible, including all four corners.
• All text, numbers, and code lines (MRZ) at the bottom are clear and readable.
• The image is not blurry, tilted, cropped, or black-and-white.
• Nothing covers the passport page, including fingerprints, shadows, glare, or marks.

Travel, Accommodation, and Financial Information

In the application form provide your residential address in your home country and your address in Benin. You must also declare your means of financial subsistence and how you plan to return home.

Any detail you enter in the application form must be supported by physical proof. Authorities at arrival may ask you to present this documentation.

Documents You May Be Asked to Present on Arrival

Carry proof that supports the details you have declared. Accepted documents include:

• Proof of return or onward travel
• Evidence of sufficient funds for your stay
• Confirmation of your accommodation in Benin

Note: The Benin online eVisa application does not require you to upload any supporting documents - only your passport.
